“Unidentified Predator Claims Over 50 Sheep in Nebbi District, Residents Alarmed”

An unknown animal has killed over 50 sheep in different villages of Parombo Sub-county in Nebbi District, causing great distress among residents.

Some of the Sheep Killed in Ossi West village in Parombo-Sub-county by the unknown killer.

The killer only targets sheep, leaving other animals such as goats unharmed. Residents suspect the animal to be a vampire due to its selective behavior of only sucking the blood of the sheep. They are urgently calling for the government to intervene before they lose all their sheep.

Information from Parombo County indicates that the animal killer is selective in its mission. It only strikes sheep, sucks their blood, and moves on to another community without consuming their meat.

Mr. Bashir Hangi, the Public Relations Manager of Uganda Wildlife Authority UWA, stated that they have no knowledge of the news website’s inquiry when reached for comment.

“Am not aware of the case. I guess it hasn’t been reported for our action,” Our staff would have reached the site to access and determine the animal specie involved. He said.

Agnes Acibu, Nebbi Woman Representative, confirmed the development and advised communities to gather their sheep in one place while men monitor the situation.

Nebbi Woman Representative Hon.Agnes Acibu

“I asked different people who told me it is a true story.” But it happened two weeks ago.

She added that also received a report of a woman who lost six ducks, with blood sucked and meat not eaten, “she said.

She stated that she had contacted the Resident District Commissioner and several district officials about it.

Parombo residents claim the footmarks belong to a leopard. It’s intriguing how the animal selectively avoids attacking cows or goats, yet targets sheep. This has caused fear among people, to the extent that some people are describing it as a vampire or spiritual attack because of the selective manner in which it operates.

Rumors are also circulating that a woman was attacked by the said animal a few days ago and she died.

Ossi West and Parongo are the villages that have been hit the hardest.
