Police in Kampala Metropolitan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, have arrested five suspects during an operation targeting companies involved in labour externalization without valid operational licenses.
The operation was conducted on March 5, 2026.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachel Kawala said the suspects were arrested from Hussinah Travels Ltd, Hasaya Recruitment Company Ltd, and Big Dreams Visa Experts Tours and Travels Ltd.
“During the operation, five suspects were arrested from Hussinah Travels Ltd, Hasaya Recruitment Company Ltd, and Big Dreams Visa Experts Tours and Travels Ltd,” Kawala said.
Police said the suspects were arrested for allegedly operating labour externalization companies without valid operational licenses.
The suspects are currently in police custody pending prosecution.
Kawala added that investigations into the matter are ongoing and that similar operations will continue to ensure compliance with the law.
