In a bid to advance its mission of fostering prosperity for Ugandans, Pearl Bank formerly Postbank Uganda has strengthened its partnership with the Church of Uganda by supporting efforts to improve access to quality education across the country.

The bank donated motorcycles to the Church, a move aimed at enhancing mobility for Diocesan Education Inspectors, particularly in hard-to-reach and underserved areas.
The support is expected to strengthen supervision and improve standards in education institutions nationwide.
The motorcycles will ease transportation challenges faced by inspectors, enabling them to regularly access rural schools. This intervention aligns with a broader initiative by the Church of Uganda’s Education Directorate to improve monitoring and support for remote schools.

Commending the Church for its continued contribution to Uganda’s education sector, Martin Mugisha, Executive Director for Operations at Pearl Bank, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to community development.
“By supporting the mobility of Diocesan Education Inspectors, we are directly contributing to improved oversight and the quality of education. This initiative aligns with our purpose of fostering prosperity for Ugandans,” Mugisha noted.
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, expressed appreciation to Pearl Bank for the support, describing it as timely and impactful.
“These motorcycles will enable our Diocesan Education Inspectors to reach previously inaccessible schools and ensure consistent delivery of quality education,” he said.
Through such initiatives, Pearl Bank continues to invest in key sectors like education, empowering communities and contributing to Uganda’s broader socio-economic development.
