HEALTH EXPERTS TASK GOVT ON IMPROVING HUMAN RESOURCES IN THE SECTOR
Ugandan health experts are asking govt to prioritize the improvement of human resource for health workers across the country if the health sector is to serve the citizens at its best so as to improve the lives of ugandans.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming global doctors conference slated for 5th to 9th September in Kampala, the president Uganda medical association, Dr.Bisso Fred and the chairman organizing committee of the conference Dr Richard Idro state that the exodus of health workers to other countries leaves a big gap here in Uganda as many experts move out seeking for greener pastures yet the country’s population is heavily demanding for more health workers to attend to their issues.

The association now urges govt to consider increasing investment in the country’s health sector to attract more workers to continue serving the nation.

According to the organazing committee of the conference, the upcoming event will be discussing ways on how to improve the medical section of this country by sharing knowledge with foreign doctors coming from countries with well established health systems like India among others with plans to forward the outcomes of the meeting with govt to implement.

The event will also see side events of free health camps at Kiludu hospital, health exhibition and tourism.
