Kadaga urges gov’t on alternative energy By Adiga Julius The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has called on government to support communities with alternative sources of energy saying this will reduce pressure on forests. Kadaga said that use of alternatives to charcoal and firewood will be a step to positive climate change. Source State House President Yoweri Museveni has held a bilateral discussion with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, with both leaders witnessing the signing of three agreements between their countries. The three pacts are; an agreement on economic and technical cooperation, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative and finally an agreement on emergency humanitarian assistance.
