The local government ministry has ordered all local council chairpersons in the country to stop charging the 10% off the land transactions that they witness and sign on, saying this is out of order. By Damba Rogers The Director of Public Prosecution has discontinued Terrorism proceedings against Australian based Cardiologist Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi and two others. This follows an amended Charge Sheet tendered before the International Crimes Division court by the Asst. DPP John Baptist Asiimwe. Dr. Kiyingi, together with a one Muzafar Kaule and Sheikh Swaliden Baligeya are temporarily dropped from the charge sheet until they are arrested. A Mammography van to help in community cancer screening has arrived at Malaba boarder . According to the Public Relations Officer Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) Christine Namulindwa, the van is a donation from the Indian Government. Apparently cancer is slowly eating up the Ugandan population, with at least one in every 500 people suffering from a cancer.
