By URN. The Uganda National Examinations Board-UNEB has released the results of the 2017 Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE, this morning. The results indicate an improved performance despite a reduction in Division one aggregates. The results indicate that 57,198 pupils out of a total of 646,190 candidates obtained aggregates in Division one. This is far below the performance in the previous year in which 63,400 out of a total 640,833 candidates obtained aggregates in first grade. Archbishop Ntagali was speaking at the third requiem service at St. Phillip and Andrew’s Cathedral, Mukono where Nkoyoyo served as Bishop from 1984 to 1995 when he was elected Archbishop. This after it discovered irregularities in expenditures and what appeared like inflated bills. The report which was recently handed over to President Museveni said the investigations would help to streamline operations of the University hospital. The Auditor General John Muwanga has today released a new report revealing a development of financial indiscipline in government ministries and departments leading to loss of billions of shillings. The Auditor General found that during the 2016/2017 financial year, a total of 40.781 billion Shillings was lost through the breach of different tax laws by ministries and departments.
