The government has refuted reports of importing Cuban doctors with a looming doctors’ strike. The state minister for health Sarah Opendi while meeting the parliamentary health committee Said that, the Cuba issue was a proposal raised in a meeting if government and doctors had failed to reach a conclusion concerning their Industrial action. Opendi said government is not considering bringing any doctors from Cuba. Kotido Municipality Shs.50m for Roads Repair Lies Idle By Agnes Etadu Kotido Municipality is yet to begin routine maintenance of 30 road sections, despite expiry of deadline on the works two months ago. The works department received Shs.50 million from the Road Fund at the beginning of this financial year, to complete the work by September. Town Clerk, Henry Damba confirmed in an interview that the money for the road works remains unused, five months since July 1, 2017. Uproar as Three Kotido SS Students Share a Single Bed By Agnes Etadu Discontented with their boarding facilities, Kotido Secondary School students last week protested sharing one bed by three persons. Tired of the situation, the students went on rampage demanding that the school buys more beds instead of making them share which has resulted into some of them contracting skin diseases. Rape survivors from Kotido seek justice By Agnes Etadu. Two women in Loposa Parish Panyangara Sub County in Kotido district are recollecting themselves after being sexually abused on Tuesday.
