The judicial publicist Jameson Karemani reveals plans by the judiciary to decentralize the court of appeal.
According to Karemani the decentralization Process starting very soon will kick off in the districts of Gulu and Mbarara and later will roll out to other parts of the country.
“We just hope that with this structure, we shall be able to decentralize the court of appeal which has only been based in Kampala, we shall have the regional court of appeals and am happy to inform you that at the moment construction has already started in Gulu and Mbarara for the court of appeal to be centralized Mr. Karemani Said.
The decentralization of the court of appeal is done to lift off the current heavyweight put on the existing court of the appeal currently sitting in Kampala.
He adds that according to the Judiciary strategic planning, the court of appeal will also be extended to other regions in places like Mbale , Fortpotal among others.
