Music Promoters Petition-Parliament

Musicians, promoters and events organizers today interfaced with the speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and over the persistent cancellation of music shows involving Kyadondo east MP popularly known as Bobi wine

.They could not hold on their tears while narrating huge losses they have suffered. 

Sarah Nasuuna  a music promoter who collapsed last  week and rushed to hospital after police canceled the music show had organized for the Kyadondo east MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobiwine in Nakawuka, shed tears in the office of the speaker of parliament claiming that she borrowed 50 million shillings to organize the music show and offered her house as a security which is now at risk of being taken by money renders. Nasuuna noted that she is a widow who takes care of her children single handedly and appealed to the speaker to act against police which has made their job difficult.


Nasuuna was part of the big group of musicians and promoters led by the renown Artist Ronald Mayinja who met the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga at parliament and narrated the ordeal of the showdown between them and security agencies when it comes to shows involving Bobi wine citing huge losses they have swallowed. They claim that police has imposed unfair guidelines ahead of the festive season which include provision of fire brigade truck ,3 ambulances and police patrols.

Bobi wine’s Manager Johnson Setamu wondered why his musician is treated as a foreigner claiming that they have received a lot of money for bookings but police has denied them clearance  to perform for their clients.
