Andrew Ojok  Wins  Omoro County By-Election Parliamentary Seat.

Andrew Ojok has won the Omoro County by-election parliamentary seat replacing his deceased father Jacob Oulanyah.

Mr. Ojok the late speaker Oulanyah’s son garnered 14,224 votes while his closest contender, Mr. Simon Toolit Akecha of the National Unity Platform (NUP) got 1,633 votes,Odonga Terence independent 532 votes,Odongo Justine FDC 529 Votes, another independent candidate Onen Jimmy Walter 88 votes, Kizza Oscar 63 votes, according to the Electoral Commission.

Oulanyah died on March 20, 2022, in Seattle, Washington, United States barely a year after taking office as the Speaker of the 11th Parliament.

The total number of votes cast for the 5 candidates was 17,068, invalid ballot papers 385, and spoilt ballot papers 10.
