External labour companies storm Ethiopia Airlines offices

By Damba Rogers

External Recruitment Agencies under their Umbrella Uganda Association of External Recruitment Agencies (UAERA), have stormed Ethiopian Airways Kampala Offices claiming money for canceled flights on net for their clients amounting to over 200, 000 US dollars paid in tickets.

All the alleged chartered scheduled flights were destined for Saudi Arabia however, were canceled due to the effect Covid19.

Catherine Banura Winnie, the Secretary General UAERA, tells the press this has resulted into massive losses on tickets, PCR tests and accommodation among others.

Speaking shortly after a brief meeting with Ethiopian Airlines officials in Kampala, Banura said they pushed for a commitment to be done as to when these direct flights will take place or refund or else they will seek redress from Government and Civil Aviation for justice.

When contacted, Ethiopian Airline officials declined to speak to the media but according to Banura, they requested for more 2 weeks though they could not commit themselves formerly.
