GOVERNMENT AND ACHOLI CULTURAL AGREE TO GIVE INVESTOR LAND
By Damba R
In a meeting held yesterday between govt and Acholi cultural and political leaders at state resolved to give madhivani 10,000 hectares of land in Amuru and that there should be no turning back but the development should kick off.
Addressing a news conference today in Kampala, the lands minister, Betty Amongi confirms that both parties agreed in good faith to have the land given away and surveyed for the project to kick off as soon as possible adding that next week the team of both the cultural, religious and political leaders together with govt are to meet with the communities to give the final word on what is to happen next.

Though the leaders seem to have agreed on the matter there are still some members of the community who are still against the acts of giving away land to the investor.
