Museveni Hails Speaker Anita Among

President Museveni has commended the Parliament, under the leadership of Speaker Anita Among, for maintaining a strong working relationship with the executive.

In his address at Kololo, Mr. Museveni acknowledged the past challenges where some individuals attempted to use Parliament to undermine the Ugandan revolution, which is part of the African Revolution.

He appreciated the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, and the NRM MPs for their efforts. Additionally, he praised the UPDF, the Uganda Police Force, the Intelligence Services, and the Prison Services for ensuring the security of the 3,061,110 million pilgrims at Namugongo recently.

President Museveni pledged to eliminate corruption in public service and among political leaders.

“I have been getting good information about corrupt actors, among the public servants but also among the political actors. With firm evidence, I will crush these traitors,’’ President Museveni said.

Public servants and political leaders who steal Government money are corrupt and will be held accountable.
