MPs Spent a Night at Parliament in Singing for Oulanyah.

Members of Parliament weathered a cold night and spent it at parliament singing worshiping and praising God in the vigil of the late speaker Jacob Oulanyah.

Bonfire Yesterday at Parliament.

It was a tearful moment in the morning as MPs bid farewell to the body of the fallen speaker Jacob Oulanyah as it exited parliament never to return back.

It was a moment of breaking down emotionally, as members of Parliament bid farewell to the fallen speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah’s body today. Oulanyah  left parliament at 9am never to return back to the August House he led as a father to many legislators.

The body spend the night lying in state as members of Parliament, Choirs and family members praised the lord in songs and prayers throughout the night.

The vigil was led by the speaker Anita Among who spent half of the night at parliament and the deputy speaker Thomas Tayebwa who stayed up to early morning. Fire places were lit at parliament to keep temperatures of the mourners stable.

MPs who weathered a called night and kept around Oulanyah’s body have explained their commitment and the cause to why they stood in solidarity with their former boss.

Legislators believe the death of Oulanyah has come with a silver lining of Unity amongst them that had never been exhibited in the multi-party parliament.
