Uganda Law Society Awards- Kadaga

The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has been recognized for championing rule of law and defending human rights by Uganda law society.

Presenting the gift to the speaker, the President of Uganda Law society Pheona Nabasa said the award is to appreciate her contribution towards the fight for rule of law, respect and enforcement of human rights, and fighting corruption.

She added that the speaker has made great contributions in the country, including, fighting the female genital mutilation FMG, being the first woman to pioneering the establishment of Uganda association of women lawyers, and being the first woman to establish a law firm in Uganda among others.

Kadaga thanked Uganda law society for appreciating her work and promised to continue speaking for Ugandans.

Speaker received the rule of law Uganda law society award in her office at parliament.
