MPs Morn Queen Elizabeth

Eulogize Her  As AN Icon of Peace and  Stability.

Members of parliament of Uganda have joined the rest of the world to mourn the demise of the Queen of the United Kingdom who passed on yesterday AT 96.

MPs have hailed the queen for steering development in the commonwealth countries including Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth ii breathed her last at Balmoral Palace in Scotland aged 96 ending a reign that started in 1952. Members of parliament of Uganda have joined the rest of the world to mourn the demise of the Queen.

Lawmakers have eulogized Queen Elizabeth the longest-serving monarch of the United Kingdom as a leader who represented peace and political stability across the globe.

Legislators believe her 70-year-old reign has seen accumulated a lot of development in commonwealth countries that she led under CHOGM.

MPs hailed the Queen for steering a monarch at a time when modern republican politics threatened kingdoms. They believe she has made a point that kingdoms can coexist.

Queen Elizabeth visited Uganda two times, on 28–30 April 1954 and 21–24 November 2007, when she attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2007.
