The Speaker of the 11th Parliament, Anita Annet Among has eulogized fallen ex-legislator Hussein Kyanjo who passed away on Saturday morning for setting the bar for legislative excellence in the country.
“Kyanjo set the bar for legislative excellence and leaves a legacy of a distinguished lawmaker, a unifying factor, and a leader who exhibited integrity. Our sympathies to his family, friends, and the people of Makindye West and Uganda at large,” said the Speaker in a tweet.
Late Kyanjo died aged 63 from Kibuli Muslim Hospital in the capital, Kampala. The former President of the Justice Party – JEEMA, and Makindye West Constituency Representative was one of the icon debaters in the August House during the 8th and 9th Parliament.
He succumbed to a terminal illness that had bedridden him since 2011.
