he Common Man’s Party presidential candidate, Mubarak Munyangwa, has launched a fundraising campaign aiming to raise nearly Sh15 billion to finance his bid for the presidency.

Munyangwa disclosed that Sh2 billion of the funds will be allocated to promote his campaign slogan, “Lusiniya,” which encourages sharing and eating together with the common man.

The fundraising team is chaired by Treasurer Musa Lukwago, with assistance from Ssemakula Habib, Vice President for the Buganda region, and Kefeero Mutaasa, Publicity Secretary.

“We need financial support from overseas, the business community, and other well-wishers to enable the Common Man’s Party to liberate the common man,” Munyangwa stated.

The candidate vowed to uphold his Lusiniya promise throughout the campaign, emphasizing that the Sh2 billion allocation is dedicated to engaging with citizens across the country.

Munyangwa also criticized the police for disrupting his campaign rallies in Kawempe and Kabalagala, promising to hold those responsible accountable.

The presidential hopeful plans to continue his campaign trail in Kamuli and Buyende, before proceeding to Namayingo and Jinja on Sunday and Monday respectively.
