Members of parliament have been asked to push for the National Health Insurance Scheme or else risk becoming the health insurance of their constituencies. The call was made to social protection experts while interacting with Parliament members. Parliament passed the National Health Insurance Scheme Bill in March 2021 but President Yoweri Museveni declined to assent to it due to disagreements among some stakeholders. During the annual end-of-year parliamentary party, he challenged legislators to co-exist harmoniously irrespective of their political schools of thought. An unknown animal has killed over 50 sheep in different villages of Parombo Sub-county in Nebbi District, causing great distress among residents. The killer only targets sheep, leaving other animals such as goats unharmed. Residents suspect the animal to be a vampire due to its selective behavior of only sucking the blood of the sheep.
