Gen Lokech’s Son Distance Late Father from NUP Killings.

The Aruu South Member of Parliament Christopher Komakech has dismissed claims by National Unity Platform NUP leaders that late Lt.General Paul Lokech led the November 2020 involved killings where over 50  Ugandans lost their lives.

Addressing a news conference at parliament, Komakech dismissed the allegations following utterances by the NUP deputy spokesperson Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro while appearing on one television program alleging that Late Lokech participated in killings and raping somen.

He said that waiswa’s false reports against late Lokech are uncalled for and asked him to withdraw such negative utterances on the deceased who worked for peace in his entire life.

Komakech wondered how the NUP leader could bad mouth the former deputy IGP yet Lokech helped many NUP candidates to secure their victories from being grabbed by their aggressive opponents.

Lt.General Komakech served in the UPDF and was also the deputy Inspector General of police at the time of his death in 2021.
